So last Friday morning, I met up with Mia, one of my former students for breakfast in Annapolis. A lifestyle session was not a fixed part of our agenda. Breakfast at Iron Rooster and catching up was.
Last year, I met Bridget from Bridget Slack Photography through a local Momtographer group. My husband was coming home from midtour, and while it wasn’t the end of the deployment, we were through the longest and hardest chunk, especially for my kids. I wanted to be in the moment, and I knew a lot of photographers volunteer to take homecoming photos (including yours truly!).
Historic Londontown Gardens has quickly become my favorite local location. And so far, everyone I have taken there has never been! I was lucky to find it last summer when I was looking at the Blue Star Museums; I teach, so I was staying home with the kids last summer and looking for places we could go for free to explore.
