So while I’ve been trying to cut back on photography, I just couldn’t resist sunflowers. I had been hunting for some last summer, but everything I found was too far away. Then, I came across an event on Facebook with the Accokeek Foundation featuring their Sunflower Days. One of my best friends from college was […]

Richardson Military Promotion | Family Photographer Washington, DC Area
It’s hard to believe that it was just last year that my family was in the Richardson’s shoes. We celebrated my husband’s promotion to Lt. Colonel in the Air Force over Memorial Day last year. I know my husband was a bit envious of Jason Richardson’s promotion when I came home and told him about […]
DMV Area Family Photographer | Korean 100th Day Celebration: Nolan
If you are looking for a good gift to give a friend or family member, photography really is one of the best gifts you can give. My friends Linda and Jun gifted Linda’s sister with a session for her son Nolan’s 100th Day Celebration. If you are wondering what a 100th Day Celebration is, don’t […]

You may see “Lifestyle and Documentary” photographer and wonder what that really means…while I do some “portraits” here and there, most of what I try to capture is life. I want the natural smiles, the interaction between people, and the details of what makes […]
Documenting life again after the winter blues
If you are interested in a documentary session, don’t wait. What is great about TRUE documentary is you don’t have to plan anything. You just do your normal thing. I can even show up while you are still in PJs (and actually that’s even better). It’s about capturing the routine–the making of breakfast, the sharing of meal and conversation, the play, the discipline, the love–every good and bad part of what your life is like RIGHT NOW.
2016: A year full of honors!
So 2016 was a huge year for my new business. I am so honored to have my photos being featured by photographers and used by businesses I respect! One of the best things that happened to me professionally (besides staying super busy with such awesome clients) was getting recognized by the Life + Lens […]
Thank you to my amazing clients
Oh my goodness. 2016 was such an amazing year. I can’t wait to see what 2017 has in store. To the many clients who took a chance on me during my first year, thank you. I am so grateful that you took a chance with me, and I hope that you will do so again in 2017!
D is for Documentary and December
I think December is a great time, though, to book my favorite type of a session: a documentary session. Family sessions and longer documentary sessions can be done indoors and allow you to capture those holiday traditions.
