North Beach Family Photographer | H Family

When we built our home in Northern Calvert County, I had not started my business yet and become a North Beach family photographer. That said, I love living in the Washington, DC area, and I love getting to take photos by the Chesapeake Bay so often. The H family have been recurring clients, and I’m so glad they decided to venture over to my area for some family photos.

What I love about sessions in North Beach is that I can get a variety of looks and it’s a pretty safe, contained place for little guys like the H family’s youngest. There are some spots I can use for natural seating, there is a lot of walking. Week day evenings are my favorite times to take photos here. Years and years ago, I did little Nora’s first birthday session, and I realized what a great space it is for the tiniest of my clients!

What I would love for a family to do is to invite me not to just take photos in North Beach but to let me follow them into the ice cream parlor for a treat or one of our bakeries. Capturing that small town feel would be such an honor for me as a North Beach family photographer. It’s also really great that you can use this pace year round… it’s definitely it’s best in the late spring, summer, and early fall with all of the flowers. If you have kids and are willing to get a pass to let them go in the water at the end of the session where they can also play on the pirate boat swing set, that would also make great photos!

North Beach is a pretty backdrop for branding photos, too! I’ve even done senior portraits and engagement sessions here… I still need to blog those!
