Summer wedding at the Stable at Bluemont Vineyard | S+J

I had been hoping for years that I was going to get this summer wedding at the Stable at Bluemont Vineyard for S+J’s wedding. Because I was lucky enough to be S’s high school English and journalism teacher, I had the privilege of watching her relationship with J grow for many years. I am not even lying that I was hoping and praying that she’d ask me to document her day. I loved many aspects of their wedding day. The rain held off, their color scheme made the entire day bright, and their HUGE wedding party (the largest I have ever photographed) listened well and added so much joy to their day. Decor was simple and thoughtful, and joy spread through their families, too! (S was the second student’s wedding I got to photograph… they are seriously the most special of all the weddings I photograph!)

Because S+J came out on a bus with their wedding party and they were running a tad late, we had a short amount of time for getting ready photos. They each had TWO GORGEOUS dresses. Their flowers are probably the prettiest I have ever photographed. I loved that S+J were into getting multiple portraits because of their two dresses! They changed their timeline once before the wedding adding an hour, and on the night of, they wanted more reception photos and added thirty more minutes. So just know I’ve done that a few times if my schedule can accommodate.
