Courtney and Alec had the most spectacular rustic Southern Maryland Wedding last Saturday at Far Cry Farm in Lexington Park! While the temperatures were great, the rain made for a soggy landscape, and we saw our share of clouds, but that didn’t remotely dampen the energy or spirits of this wedding! (Plus, isn’t it lucky if it rains on your wedding day?) Luckily, the rain stopped for portraits and the ceremony. It didn’t start back up again until it was dark and the reception was in full swing.
Courtney and Alec met in college in their door at Salisbury University. The pandemic pushed back their engagement shoot, but I’m so happy they were able to get their wedding on their original date! Alec’s dad Tom officiated, and he opened the ceremony sharing their love story; everyone laughed while listening to Tom’s stories about Courtney and Alec.
I loved the bridesmaids’ blue dresses and the rustic wedding details. Courtney and Alec definitely planned a wedding that mirrored their personalities: it was simple, elegant, and fun. They rolled through the punches with the weather and didn’t let the rain damper their spirits remotely. It was the epitome of a perfect rustic Southern Maryland Wedding. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know them, their families, and their friends!
