Southern Maryland Family Photographer | Mackenzie {3 Months Old}

Southern Maryland has so many great locations for family pictures, but Jefferson Patterson Park is one of my favorites for the variety I can get there! I really wish I lived twenty minutes closer so I could use this park as a regular play location for my kids. You have piers and water, tall grass and barns, trails and trees, fences and historic buildings.

I was lucky to do Mackenzie’s newborn session back in July. I love when families ask me if they can participate in my milestone package! Now that my kiddos are getting bigger, it is such an honor to be transported back and remember how exciting every few months can be when they are tiny!

Mackenzie mastered holding her head up and was really starting to be aware of her surroundings! She liked playing peekaboo and was dishing out those real smiles, too! I hope we venture back to this favorite park in Southern Maryland for her nine month session, too!

If you would like to book a session, I am booking for December and 2020, so contact me today through my contact page or by e-mailing me at teresa@tcjdesign.com to book a session. My only fall openings are November 2. I have openings still for my holiday minis at the Christmas tree farm! Details are on the Facebook page. Details also under events on my Facebook page!

WEDDING & PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY FOR PEOPLE WHO want their story told

Hi. I’m Teresa. While photography is a part-time job for me, documenting your stories doesn’t ever get treated like it’s not important. My full-time gig is teaching high school English, journalism, and photography at an all-boys’ school in Washington, DC. Journalism is my favorite subject to teach because it is as much about writing as it is about the art of observing the world, and I became a photographer because of my experiences in photojournalism.

You’ll see in galleries with my families, children, newborns, or weddings, my style definitely is more about documenting connection and trying to create real moments. I love a good portrait, but my heart is happiest when I get real smiles from people loving on and playing with each other.
