Fall Springfield Manor Wedding | K+B

It’s been one year since this gorgeous fall Springfield Manor wedding! I loved getting to document K+B … I admired their organization and vision so much! It really made my job so much easier.

If you haven’t checked out Springfield Manor Winery, Distillery, and Brewery in Thurmont, Maryland you’re missing on a great venue. My only complaint is I wish they were a bit closer to Southern Maryland!

I have shot a few weddings at this location, and here’s what I love about it. First, the getting ready room for the bride is spacious, has an amazing mirror, and already has hooks on the wall for dresses! I wish more venues planned ahead for this…it’d make my life so much easier to get those details! While the area for guys getting ready is a little dark, it’s still spacious, and I love having both on site. It means if I didn’t have a second shooter, I could still get photos of both getting ready!

I love the variety of looks you can get here. I’ve done a very early spring wedding there and an early September. I’ve seen plans for rain, and they have the ability to move things inside. The main level has a gorgeous space for first looks or just pretty portraits. The porches give you space for rainy days, and you can get gorgeous buildings, landscaping, or even some of the little mountain range.

I was able to get up high and get a great shot for this wedding of their entire bridal party. I love the amount of light that their reception area has, too! Everything is close, so you don’t have to walk far to get all of this variety!

It’s also really nice that couples can have groups of people stay there, too!

So happy one year anniversary to B+K! It’s been so fun to see the types of clients that are attracted to my work…for whatever reasons, I’ve had a lot of couples that were in engineering and education. I’m hoping for at least one military wedding soon! That’s on my bucket list.

I only take a handful of weddings a year to ensure that I can give my clients a great experience and get their gallery to them in a timely manner. While I have 12 weeks on my contract, my goal is always by your one month anniversary.
