Calvert County Photographer: Peach Blossom Minis at Swann Farms

So to say that life since March has been busy is an understatement. Here it is the end of July, and I’m *just* writing about my spring peach blossom minis at Swann Farms.

First, let me say that Swann Farms was just AMAZING to work with. I had been there for berry picking with my kids, but I hadn’t really ventured to the farm for anything else. I had clients requesting cherry blossoms and permits, weather watching, and the drive combined was just too much for me. I had seen pictures of peach blossoms, and I knew they were just as pretty. Personally, I loved the wider open area and more rustic feel; it gave me way more room to play with my families, which I love.

I reached out to Swann Farms, and if you remember, this spring was crazy. The date for peak blooms changed a few times, and after the blooms started coming we got one last snow and freeze. We changed date after date, and I ended up having to weave my awesome, flexible clients into to evening sessions during the week before the bad weather returned.

That said, I really do think that these Spring Minis were some of my favorites, and they will be a regular for me as long as Swann Farms lets me come back! I had toddlers solo and many, many families over a few nights. I am a bit bummed I didn’t get any shots of my own kids there, but next year you can bet it’ll be on my agenda!

If you’d like to get notice of when these gorgeous spring minis happen in 2019, shoot me a message today!

WEDDING & PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY FOR PEOPLE WHO want their story told

Hi. I’m Teresa. While photography is a part-time job for me, documenting your stories doesn’t ever get treated like it’s not important. My full-time gig is teaching high school English, journalism, and photography at an all-boys’ school in Washington, DC. Journalism is my favorite subject to teach because it is as much about writing as it is about the art of observing the world, and I became a photographer because of my experiences in photojournalism.

You’ll see in galleries with my families, children, newborns, or weddings, my style definitely is more about documenting connection and trying to create real moments. I love a good portrait, but my heart is happiest when I get real smiles from people loving on and playing with each other.
