Downtown Annapolis Family Session | The V Family

Spring has sprung, and I honestly loved waking up early on a Saturday morning for a downtown Annapolis family session. This family ROCKED coordinating and not matching and was styled so perfectly for your location. This is a great gallery to show how what you wear can really elevate the look of your gallery, and it doesn’t have to be expensive! The mom bought her dress from Amazon… check out the price! Styling doesn’t have to be expensive; I have a styling service, too, to help you get ideas, and if you want to buy through the links you can. I’ve used it before for my family sessions, and it was so helpful.

As those of you who have followed me for a while know, I love sessions that show connection, are documentary in style, and that give a variety in locations/looks during a session. This downtown Annapolis family session delivered on every front. I’ve also been trying to add more images each session that are more artsy featuring the location in case clients ever want to take their gallery and create an album.

I have to say the little girl was SUCH a trooper walking around. She wanted to explore, find flowers, and climb steps. And even more important to me, she didn’t seem phased by me wearing the mask. The pandemic has been challenging with little kids; this weekend’s kids were all so good with masks and COVID-19 protocols. (Side note: I am SO lucky as a teacher to have been fully vaccinated for a month, but I’m still taking precautions—I keep my distance and wear a mask each session.) We hit the dock area, the Naval Academy, and area up the Annapolis.

If you’d like to book a session, please e-mail me at teresa@tcjdesign.com. April and May are booked on the weekends for the most part, and June is getting full. So message me if you want a session and to get on my calendar!

WEDDING & PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY FOR PEOPLE WHO want their story told

Hi. I’m Teresa. While photography is a part-time job for me, documenting your stories doesn’t ever get treated like it’s not important. My full-time gig is teaching high school English, journalism, and photography at an all-boys’ school in Washington, DC. Journalism is my favorite subject to teach because it is as much about writing as it is about the art of observing the world, and I became a photographer because of my experiences in photojournalism.

You’ll see in galleries with my families, children, newborns, or weddings, my style definitely is more about documenting connection and trying to create real moments. I love a good portrait, but my heart is happiest when I get real smiles from people loving on and playing with each other.
