Calvert County rainy wedding day at King’s Family Farm

Bec and AJ had a gorgeous 2023 Calvert County rainy wedding day at King’s Family Farm. Although their ceremony was rainy, it didn’t rain all day, and they were able to go outside for more portraits and have some photos with their guests outside. I LOVE that they did a photo with each table. What a special memory for them and their guests!
Their wedding day was simple, and they went with the flow regarding the weather. I appreciated their trust so much! I was able to come a bit early to make use of the dry weather at the start of the day, which was really helpful. I’m thankful they let me adjust my hours since it allowed me to capture the best moments to tell their day’s story.
They had a good friend as their officiant. They had no wedding party, and the guest count kept their day intimate. Food was a priority for the groom as a chef himself, so they splurged, and it was delicious!
If you have bad weather on a wedding day, take a deep breath and be flexible. This bride and groom were courageous, deciding to give up their umbrellas even so they could just literally soak in the day. They ended up with gorgeous at their reception. It’s always good to make sure outdoor venues can work with you and have a plan. Keeping your guest list smaller makes it easier to be flexible! Have a backup plan just in case you need it!
