Calvert County Photographer | Calvert Piano for Adults

Piano was my first (of two) instruments that I play, so I always welcome when adult Piano Instructor Amy Deal invites me to document her classes at her home!

Amy runs Calvert Piano for Adults. I first met her last summer when I helped her document a class for her website and helped with a video she needed for a grant. She’s one of those people that has an innate ability to exude quiet confidence from her students. Her first group was fun, and the group that I met last week seemed just as charming!

It has been a year since I last visited, and I was absolutely amazed on my last visit at how advanced her class was. I left thinking I needed to go home and practice…because her clients were just learning to play, and they were already playing pretty difficult piece!

It wasn’t hard to see how comfortable her students were with each, how they easily joked, and how they learned together. She definitely has something pretty special going on there, so I definitely recommend you check her out if you have been wanting to play and never did it!

Amy herself is also sweet, encouraging, and funny. She builds community easily and instills confidence in her students! If you have always wanted to play piano, but you think you are too old to learn, you definitely should check out Amy and Calvert Piano for Adults. She’ll make that dream on your bucket list come true!

If you are interested in booking a session, message me through my contact page or e-mail me at teresa@tcjdesign.com. I still have summer openings! I would love to help you build your brand with a branding session, capture you children’s milestones, or document the love in your family!

WEDDING & PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY FOR PEOPLE WHO want their story told

Hi. I’m Teresa. While photography is a part-time job for me, documenting your stories doesn’t ever get treated like it’s not important. My full-time gig is teaching high school English, journalism, and photography at an all-boys’ school in Washington, DC. Journalism is my favorite subject to teach because it is as much about writing as it is about the art of observing the world, and I became a photographer because of my experiences in photojournalism.

You’ll see in galleries with my families, children, newborns, or weddings, my style definitely is more about documenting connection and trying to create real moments. I love a good portrait, but my heart is happiest when I get real smiles from people loving on and playing with each other.
