Annapolis Area Family Photographer | Returning Clients & Families
Part of what is amazing about photography is creating relationships with families.
This past winter, I ventured to Annapolis, Bowie, and right down the street (so to speak) in North Beach to capture pictures for different clients who were all related to each other. Two of the three families were repeat clients. It truly is one of the things I love absolutely the most about photography: I love making lasting relationships with families and watching their families grow and change.
I changed schools, but two of these returning families are former co-workers, so it is also nice to catch up! I ventured to Bowie to the Billingsley family’s house and went home for a break before venturing to Annapolis for a super misty evening with the Shahraky family. (Side note: I had been DYING for an Annapolis session, and I really want to do a few more walking around downtown with families, so let me know if you want to go have an adventure there!)
Hours after seeing the sneak peek I posted, the sister of the Shahraky family called asking if I could squeeze them in at all before Christmas. Honestly, it’s so fun seeing kids who are cousins and second cousins… I always imagine what their family parties are like, and you’d never believe how much easier it is to get kids to relax when I can say something about a relative they know and play with.
An added bonus for me is that I can really see my growth as a photographer, and I’m so thankful for these families who stay with me as I continue to learn and develop my craft. I really love getting to be part of their lives year after year.
That said, it’s not too early to book your spring or summer session! One of these clients already has herself on my calendar for her annual mommy and me mini session! Once my husband is home from his deployment, I’ll be only opening up one or two weekends a month for photography, and I’ll try to do all of my session then instead of spacing them out so I can have some much needed family time.
