Joint Base Andrews Family Photographer | The S Family

As someone who spent three years a decade ago living on base when it was still Andrews Air Force Base, I always love getting to take photos again on Joint Base Andrews. My husband still works there, but my visits to Joint Base Andrews have declined in recent years, so it was fun to see what had and hadn’t changed since my last visit.

So back in July or August, I culled which photos I wanted for this post, but hours of professional development for school and prepping for an unusual school year put me way behind on my blogging! While this session at Joint Base Andrews was a bit more posed than many of my sessions, you can still see I love combinations! I like to think about what I’d want on my desk at work, what my kids would want in their rooms, and what I would hang as artwork in the house. This session hits all of the combinations I like to cover in a session.

I have solos of each girl, mom and dad together, girls with each each parent, each girl individually with the parents, and entire family together! A few of my clients over the years have also had au pairs, and I love that they always want to get them in so they can gift them with photos, too!

We had cloudy weather, but great temperatures for mid June! I’m hoping that we get dry and comfortable weather for the sessions this fall!

While my September and October are booked for lifestyle sessions, I have some openings still for my Christmas minis at the tree farm in Friendship, Maryland! More details are here on my Facebook page. You can also e-mail me through my contact page or at teresa@tcjdesign.com to book a session.

WEDDING & PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY FOR PEOPLE WHO want their story told

Hi. I’m Teresa. While photography is a part-time job for me, documenting your stories doesn’t ever get treated like it’s not important. My full-time gig is teaching high school English, journalism, and photography at an all-boys’ school in Washington, DC. Journalism is my favorite subject to teach because it is as much about writing as it is about the art of observing the world, and I became a photographer because of my experiences in photojournalism.

You’ll see in galleries with my families, children, newborns, or weddings, my style definitely is more about documenting connection and trying to create real moments. I love a good portrait, but my heart is happiest when I get real smiles from people loving on and playing with each other.
