Solomons, Maryland Engagement Session at Drum Point | K+A

I love that K+A wanted to go to the site of their venue for their Solomons, Maryland Engagement Session at the Drum Point Club. A’s family has had property near the Drum Point Beach Club for decades, so they opted to have their ceremony there as well as their engagement session. I had such a lovely time in June wandering the area with them and getting to them and their story.

I’m a teacher, so I brought with me a quick posing guide, but as you can probably see from K+A’s gallery, I really don’t “pose” like some photographers do. I love movement and encouraging authentic connection. I want my clients to forget that I’m there with a camera. I don’t charge for engagement sessions for my wedding clients… they are a complimentary part of my packages. Getting to know my couples is so important to me and helps me ensure I’m my best at serving them on their wedding day.

I’m excited because K+A’s wedding Saturday kicks off my two months of weddings! I only take a handful of weddings each year; I had one in May, and three of my four that are left are all in Solomons, Maryland. I find that all of my sessions, not just weddings, sort of go in spurts like that each year.
