Washington DC Family Photographer | Enid A. Haupt Garden Session

As a Washington DC family photographer, I have a confession to make. I don’t love the Cherry Blossoms like everyone else. I know; this is the wrong thing to admit one week after peek bloom, but sessions there are so crowded and stressful and busy. Photographer end up editing so much to make it look like no one was there, and they just don’t feel authentic to me.

Do I love blooms? Yes! Flowers make such an amazing pop of color, and that’s why I love going to the Enid A. Haupt Garden by the Smithsonian Castle for those early blooms. It can still be crowded, but I can get such a wider variety of looks, and if we go to the park next door, it can be completely empty! If you are new around here, you’ll know when I scout locations, I like to be able to get three distinct looks. We may reuse poses and prompts, but with a different background and lens on my end, you can get such diversity in your gallery to give you more options when picking which images to print and put on the walls of your home.
