Flower Senior Session at Goldpetal Farms

If you love flowers, you want to have a flower senior session at Goldpetal Farms in Southern Maryland. They have sunflowers and zinnias yearly at their farm in Chaptico, Maryland. Anna had been dreaming of a session like this, and days later Taylor Swift and Blake Lively shared their engagement session surrounded by flowers, too!

We started Anna’s senior session with the sunflower field and then made our way over to the zinnas. She was able to have a few outfit changes, and we even sneaked in a photo with mom! I loved our guest appearance… so scroll to the end to see that.

Some locations are better for sunrise sessions and others are better for sunset, so be flexible when planning your session, and if you aren’t a morning person and have your heart set on a spot that’s quieter in the morning like the National Mall, just realize we can do golden hour; it’s just a lot more crowded!

I offer a few pricing options for my seniors sessions, and this is my pricing for any type of headshot session not just senior photos. I’m taking my eighth grade daughter to a local tulip farm this week for a session to culminate the end of eighth grade, so if you have any type of school milestone, these can be the perfect type of sessions to commemorate that. Early and mid-April is great for tulips in the DC area. And I have other locations for flowers in May and June, too, if you want some flowers in your sessions.

Typically, many of these flower photo sessions do have a permit fee that has to be paid to the farm or park; they are not generally a lot, but it’s important to factor that in when creating a budget. A good time for a flower senior session at Goldpetal Farms is late summer, and my calendar fills up quickly, so reach out to me to get on my list.
