Federal Hill Park Engagement Session in Baltimore

If you love the Baltimore skyline, then a Federal Hill Park engagement session is where you need to go! You will get the most spectacular views of the city, and the area around the park make for great images and add variety to your gallery.

I met Caitie and Ray there on a fall morning for their session, and I do think this location can work well for a morning session or afternoon session. We had a pretty cloudy day for this session, but the sunrise in the fall tends to be right of the skyline area and sunset is to the left. I love the variety that I was able to capture on the top level of the park. The cloudy sky meant that we could move around pretty easily, too, and get good light. I loved having some bushes and flowers for foreground, steps to make movement interesting, and a variety of colorful trees for some pop. Benches allow for natural seating options, too.

When we moved down a level, there was a great path for another skyline view. We had fun with some more movement on this level. Like I said at the beginning, if you love Baltimore, a Federal Park engagement session is a must.

When you get to the lowest level of the park, you’ll find a cool brick wall, fun steps, and an adorable neighborhood. Variety in location and movement are two key components in all of my engagement sessions, and a Federal Hill Park engagement session allowed for me to get both of those necessary components. Engagement sessions are so important that I make them a complimentary part of my packages. They are the KEY for me making sure I know what the couple likes, they help me get to know my couples, and it helps them get to know me. Being your wedding photographer is about having a relationship, and the engagement session is the most important part of building that relationship for me. It’s where I get to know your love story… which makes me so much better at documenting your wedding day!

WEDDING & PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY FOR PEOPLE WHO want their story told

Hi. I’m Teresa. While photography is a part-time job for me, documenting your stories doesn’t ever get treated like it’s not important. My full-time gig is teaching high school English, journalism, and photography at an all-boys’ school in Washington, DC. Journalism is my favorite subject to teach because it is as much about writing as it is about the art of observing the world, and I became a photographer because of my experiences in photojournalism.

You’ll see in galleries with my families, children, newborns, or weddings, my style definitely is more about documenting connection and trying to create real moments. I love a good portrait, but my heart is happiest when I get real smiles from people loving on and playing with each other.
